Trine is out! Review

So it’s out on PS3! Trine has been around a while, on PC that is. But now it has moved to the console (will be out on Xbox 360 next month).

Trine is an adventure/puzzle/RPG/platform game. It sounds too good to be true? well, it is here! The graphic is beautiful. The level is very well made and very clever. You have 3 types of character that you can switch between, an archer, a wizard and a knight. up to 3 player can join and play as one of the characters.

The reason that I’m so excited about this game is the co-op playability. Sure, on PC you can play with friends on-line, but on the console, playing together on the sofa in the living room makes much more sense with this game. I know that this sounds good and all, there are also some bad things to keep in mind. Firstly, the control is a bit lose, and with a game that require skills and precision when jumping, it’s a bit floaty. Secondly, the camera when playing co-operatively, it is difficult to go forward if there’s another player that is lagging behind. Therefore, the programmer decided that the camera should follow the wizard. Lastly, the game is slightly short but it is not normally a bad thing as almost all good games should leave you feeling wanting more. And with the price the game is selling, I can’t really complain.

Well, rather than reading this article, you should go and try it out yourself. The game is available to download from PSN for £16.99 and it only takes up about 350MB of your hard disk, guaranteed at least 4-5 hours of fun and awe!.

Watch the gameplay after the break..
